SHIAWASSEE COUNTY, MI : 2 dead after head-on collision in Shiawassee County on Tuesday, 2nd September 2024

A couple from Byron died after a head-on collision in Shiawassee County on Tuesday evening.

Michigan State Police say a 68-year-old man was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu north on Byron Road when he crossed the center line into the southbound lane near Cole Road around 9 p.m.

His car collided head-on with a GMC Sierra pickup truck.

The Byron man and his 58-year-old female passenger both died at the scene. The 53-year-old man from Montrose driving the pickup truck was hospitalized in good condition Wednesday morning.
