FRAMINGHAM, MA : Motorcyclist to be cited in Framingham crash on Monday, 24th October 2016
Framingham, Massachusetts
A Framingham man who remains hospitalized after crashing his motorcycle into a car on Kendall Avenue on Monday will be charged, police said.
David Robinson, 54, of Framingham, is listed as good condition at Boston Medical Center after the 3:18 p.m. crash on Monday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Police spokesman Lt. Stephen Cronin said Robinson was driving a Honda motorcycle when he collided with a sedan driven by Aurelia Melendez, 72.
Melendez was taking a left into her driveway and when she turned, her car and the motorcycle crashed. Robinson suffered what was believed to be a serious head injury and was taken to the hospital by a medical rescue helicopter, the lieutenant said.
“She isn’t going to be cited,” said Cronin. “It looks like he may have been speeding.”
Robinson also did not have a motorcycle operator’s license. He will be summoned to Framingham District Court and charged with driving without a license, Cronin said.
Kendall Avenue remained closed for several hours after the crash as both the Framingham and Massachusetts State Police investigated.
