Massachusetts Turnpike, MA : Man dead after crashing motorcycle on Mass Pike on Wednesday, 31st July 2019

A 26-year-old man from East Boston is dead after he crashed his motorcycle on the Mass. Pike in Brighton early Wednesday morning.

State Police reported that the man was traveling onto the Exit 18 ramp from Rt. 90 East at around 3:20 a.m. when, for reasons still unknown, he struck the right side curb and was thrown from his motorcycle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, State Police said.

State Police are investigating the crash with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services Section, Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit, Troop-H Detectives and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The exit ramp was closed for approximately two hours.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.
