EL PASO, TX : Bicyclist seriously injured in hit-and-run crash in Socorro on Thursday, 1st October, 2020

A bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash that happened Thursday night in Socorro near Valle Suave Drive and Moon Road.

The Socorro Police Department said that 48-year-old Armando Perez died of his injuries. The crash happened just after 7 p.m. Perez was riding his bike on Moon Road when he was struck by a car, which fled the scene, heading north on Moon Road.

Soccoro Police are searching for the driver who fled, and are asking the public to be on the lookout for vehicles with a considerable amount of recent front-end damage.
