BUTTE COUNTY, CA : Big rig crash slows traffic on Highway 149 on Wednesday, 13th September 2023

CHP said around 7:05 a.m., a driver of a semi-truck and trailer was heading northbound on Highway 149, near Openshaw Road, and allowed his vehicle to travel into the center dirt median of the highway.

The driver of the semi-truck attempted to regain control of his vehicle but was unable to, as a result, the semi-truck and trailer rolled over into the southbound lanes of Highway 149, the CHP said.

At this time no injuries were sustained or claimed by the involved driver. The trailer was loaded with packaging materials and coffee. It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were a factor in this collision, the CHP said.
