MURRAY, KY : CCSO One dead after motorcycle car collision on Monday, 22nd July 2024
A Murray man died due to injuries sustained after his motorcycle collided with a car on Sunday, Calloway County Sheriff's Office reported Monday.
A news release from the sheriff's office said deputies, along with Calloway County Fire/Rescue and Murray Calloway County EMS, responded at 4:30 p.m. to State Route 121 North near the Potts Road intersection to a report of a vehicle versus motorcycle collision.
Investigators said that James P. Davis, 39, of Murray, was driving eastbound on Highway 121 North on a motorcycle, and believe he drove out of his lane and into the path of a Ford Escort driven by William Turner, 66, of Mayfield.
Davis was taken to the Murray Calloway County Emergency Room for treatment, where he died from his injuries upon arrival. No other injuries were reported from the collision.
