Portsmouth,NH : 105 mph police chase ends in crash, arrest on may, Thursday 18th 2017

After stealing a Subaru in Kittery, Maine, a Portsmouth man led police on a high-speed chase that ended with a crash and foot pursuit at Pease Golf Course, police allege.

Kittery police Sgt. John Desjardins said the Subaru owner got out of work early Thursday morning and reported his Outback was stolen from the downtown area, so officers were notified to be on the lookout for it. He said a patrol officer saw the Subaru heading along Route 236, activated his lights and siren and “it was off to the races.”

The officer followed the Subaru southbound on Interstate 95 at speeds that reached 105 mph, police in Kittery and Portsmouth said.

According to the Portsmouth public police log, officers there were notified at 1:44 a.m. Thursday that the pursuit was heading south. Police allege the Subaru then crashed off I-95 near the golf course and the driver ran off toward the Pease runway. A Portsmouth officer located the driver who was identified as Paul Brown, 23, of 1304 White Cedar Boulevard.
