Augusta, GA : One dead following crash at the intersection of Old Waynesboro Road and Hephzibah McBean Road on Sunday, 30th September 2018

One person has died following a single-vehicle wreck on Old Waynesboro Road Sunday morning.

Just after 10:30 a.m., a crash at the intersection of Old Waynesboro Road and Hephzibah McBean Road was called in to first responders.

Shannon Golphin, 45, of Goshen Drive was driving south on Old Waynesboro Road and failed to stop at the intersection before running off the road and into a tree.

According to Richmond County coroner Mark Bowen, Golphin was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:55 a.m.
