Salisbury, N.C : One person dead in motorcycle crash on Bendix Drive in Salisbury on early Saturday evening, September 6, 2014

One person was killed early Saturday evening in a crash involving a motorcycle on Bendix Drive in front of the Economy Inn entrance.
The accident happened around 6:00 pm, according to Salisbury Police.
James Henry Githens, Jr., has been identified as the victim, according to family members.
"I want people to remember him because he was an amazing man and he was my best friend," wrote Githens fiance Amanda Cauble in a note to WBTV. "I am still in complete shock right now and am mourning his death."
Police did confirm that Githens had just left Tilley's Harley-Davidson and that the driver of a Chevrolet Monte Carlo made a left turn in to the path of the motorcycle.
Githens was pronounced dead at the scene. He is survived by his fiance and a 10 year old son.
There is no word yet on the driver of the car or if any charges were filed.
