Boone County, KY : Woman killed in Interstate 71/75 crash in Boone Co.on Saturday October 1, 2016

A woman was killed in a rollover crash in Boone County over the weekend, according to the coroner's office.

Crews were called to Interstate 71/75 Saturday afternoon, after a vehicle left the highway and flipped in the northbound lanes.

Angela Wood, 56, of Independence, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Lon Roberts with the Boone County Coroner’s Office.

Roberts said he believes Wood was a passenger in the vehicle. Officials report one person was flown to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, and a second person was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The conditions of the other victim have not been released.

Two lanes of highway were closed for several hours, but reopened just before 8:30 p.m.

Investigators said they are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
