A Portland was killed in a single vehicle crash near Racine on Saturday night.
According to a news release on Sunday morning by the Gallipolis Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Dustin Brinager, 30, of Portland, was traveling southwest on County Road 28 (Bashan Road) when he traveled off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle came back onto the roadway to the left before sliding off the left side of the roadway and striking an embankment.
The 2016 Ford F-150 then went airborne and overturned, ejecting the driver, according to the release.The crash occurred in the area of Hills Classic Cars on Bashan Road near Racine. The crash occurred at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Saturday night, partially closing Bashan Road for approximately two hours.
The release states that the driver was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the post.
