Ventura, CA : One person died after a car crash Sunday at 6.38 p.m July 20 2014.

One person died after a car went off the road and into a ditch Sunday in Ventura, officials said.The crash was reported at 6:38 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 near Padre Juan Canyon Road.

The California Highway Patrol reported the car went off the road and into a ditch. At least two people were trapped in the car, the CHP said.

One person was found dead, and another person was taken to Ventura County Medical Center with critical injuries, officials said.
