COLLETON COUNTY, SC : 1 killed after truck hits tree in Colleton County on Monday, 26th February 2024

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said one person is dead after the truck they were driving overturned and hit a tree Monday night.
The crash happened just before 11 p.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 17 about two miles south of the Greenpond community in Colleton County.
Lance Cpl. Lena Butler said a 2004 Ford F150 was going south on Highway 17 when it ran off the side of the road and hit a ditch causing it to overturn and then hit a tree.
Butler said the driver, who was the only person inside the truck, died at the scene.
