Atlanta, GA : 1 killed, 2 injured in SW Atlanta crash on Wednesday, 22nd January, 2020

One person was killed and two others were injured in a two-car crash Wednesday in southwest Atlanta, police said.

The fatal wreck occurred near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Harwell Road just after 5 p.m., Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer TaSheena Brown said.The driver of one car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger from the second vehicle were were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive, Brown said.Details about what caused the crash weren’t immediately available, but the investigation is still ongoing. Traffic in the area was shut down during the evening commute as police investigated, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.
