Two killed in accident in Baldwin County near Georgia
Two people died this morning on I-65 South in Baldwin County when a pickup ran into the back of a crane.Killed were the driver and the passenger in the truck. The names of the accident victims have not been released.
Alabama State Troopers are investigating the wreck. Why the truck crashed into the back of crane has not been determined, state trooper Sgt. Joe Piggott said."We are still kind of looking into the some of that," Piggott said. "We are talking to.. the driver of the crane. We don't really know if he was stopped or slow driving or what."
The accident happened shortly after 7:30 a.m.The southbound lanes of I-65 near the General W.K. Wilson Jr. Bridge, also known as the Dolly Parton Bridge, were shut down after the accident happened.
