Montgomery, AL : MPD officer suffers injuries in accident involving multiple vehicles on Wetumpka Highway on Sunday, March 27, 2016

A Montgomery police officer suffered injuries in an early morning accident involving multiple vehicles on Wetumpka Highway.

At about 12:40 a.m. Sunday, MPD responded to the 3100 block of Wetumpka Highway on a call of an accident involving three vehicles. Injuries were minor.

An MPD officer involved in the accident was driving a police patrol car at the time. The officer suffered minor injuries, according to Lt Denise Barnes, spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Drpartment.
