Fort Wayne,IN : Trucker dies from 'suspected medical issue' after crash on April, Monday 2nd 2018

A truck driver died this morning from a suspected medical issue after a two-vehicle crash in Defiance, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Dorian McDaniel, 37, of Cleveland was driving south on Ohio 15, just north of U.S. 24, shortly before 8 a.m. when he suffered the suspected medical issue, the highway patrol in Defiance said in a statement.

His semi drifted left of center and collided with a northbound car driven by Susan Kearney, 61, of Napoleon, Ohio.

McDaniel was taken to Defiance Regional Hospital, where he later died from the suspected medical issue, police said. Kearney was treated at Defiance Mercy Hospital for minor injuries and released.

The Defiance County coroner will be investigating the exact cause of McDaniel's medical condition, police said.
