Pittsburgh, PA : Man Injured After Splitting Car In Half In Crash early Saturday morning on October 4, 2014
A Point Marion man was severely injured after his car split in two during a crash in Georges Township early Saturday morning, police said.
George Buncic, 21, was traveling at a high rate of speed in the southbound lane of Morgantown Road, according to police. He then lost control of his 2014 Dodge Avenger, which split in half after striking several trees just before 4 a.m.
Buncic was thrown from the vehicle. He was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Police said the front portion of Buncic’s car ended up in a field on the west side of the roadway, while the rear portion came to rest in the northbound lane of Morgantown Road.
