The Stark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that resulted in one teenager being life-flighted to Akron Children’s Hospital, according to a news release.
The one-vehicle crash occurred at 12:24 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Vine Street and Julie Avenue NE in Lexington Township. A 19-year-old driver is thought to have drifted left of center and lost control of the vehicle before hitting the corner of a driveway. The car flipped several times, according to the news release.
A 16-year-old passenger with serious injuries was life-flighted to the hospital. The driver and an 18-year-old passenger were transported to Aultman Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Alcohol or drugs are suspected as contributing to the crash. Charges are pending against the driver.
