A 60-year-old Bridger man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 312 near Bridger that began when another pickup struck a deer.
The Montana Highway Patrol says a 53-year-old Bridger man was traveling northbound when his pickup struck a deer just after 6:30 a.m. Monday. Trooper Joe Hensley tells The Billings Gazette (http://bit.ly/1Q3HXzy ) that the deer smashed the man's windshield and caused the pickup's airbag to deploy, disorienting the driver.
Hensley says the man with the damaged pickup veered into the southbound lane and struck an oncoming pickup. The driver of the second pickup died at the scene.
The patrol is still investigating the crash. The victim's name has not been released.
