Linden, NJ: One person killed in truck crash on Tuesday morning August 4th 2015.

The latest in the New Jersey Turnpike truck accident 10:30 p.m.

The New Jersey Turnpike has reopened following a deadly truck crash and fire.

The truck was traveling along the major toll road Tuesday morning when it struck an overpass in Linden. State police say the fatality is believed to be the truck's driver.

A fire ignited and was feared to have compromised the overpass and gas and power lines that run under it. Traffic was backed up into the evening.

State police said shortly after 10 p.m. the turnpike was reopening all lanes to traffic. They say repairs to the wiring under the overpass have been completed.
