New Orleans police say a 29-year-old woman died and passenger injured in a one-car accident.

Officer Frank Robertson said the woman lost control of her car early Friday morning and struck a concrete barrier.

Robertson says the car came to rest in a parking lot.

He says the unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her male passenger was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.
