A 65-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash in Rockbridge County Wednesday, state police said.

A 1998 Dodge van was traveling north on Virginia 608, near the Buffalo Creek Bridge, when it ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, crossed the roadway and overturned, ejecting the driver, Sgt. Rick Garletts said.

The driver, Wilford Charles Bartlett, of Glasgow, died at the scene. He was not wearing his seat belt.

The crash remains under investigation.
