A Hispanic man in his forties died in a single-vehicle crash in the capital city on Thursday night.
Emergency personnel responded to a call at approximately 7:30 p.m. for a wreck on Route 29 and River Road.
A Honda was traveling south on Route 29 at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree, Lt. Stephen Varn said Friday.
The driver, who has not been positively identified by the authorities, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Craig Kirk from the Trenton Police Department along with Detective Don Santora from the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office are continuing the investigation.
