Boston, MA : Storrow Drive Backed Up When Too-Tall Truck Hits Bowker Street Overpass on Thursday morning, September 25, 2014

Traffic was backed up on Storrow Drive Thursday morning when the top of a box truck had a too-close encounter with the Bowker Street overpass. Just about 7:30 the truck was headed west on Storrow Drive when it hit an overhang at the Kenmore/Fenway ramp, state police reported. The ramp to Kenmore/Fenway from Storrow westbound was shut down for about an hour to allow crews to remove the overturned truck. Residual delays continued after the ramp reopened at 10 a.m. while crews cleaned up debris. State police said the driver suffered minor injuries in the accident.
