BLAKELEY TOWNSHIP, MN : 2 killed in Scott County snowmobile crash at the intersection of 280th West and Lehnert Lane on Sunday, 3rd March 2019

Two people were killed when their snowmobile struck a power pole on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Scott County Sheriff's Office, a couple was headed east on a Ski-Doo snowmobile when they hit a pole at the intersection of 280th West and Lehnert Lane in Blakeley Township. Deputies responded to the crash at about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.The 42-year-old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The 33-year-old female passenger was brought to the hospital, where she was also pronounced dead.
