Marquette Township , MI : Two people minorly injured aftr Four vehicle crash on Monday ,August 31st 2015
Police were dispatched to a four vehicle accident at the intersection of US 41 and Brickyard Rd at 1:35pm Monday.
Ruth Wisti, 83 of Hancock, driving a 2013 Cadillac Deville was eastbound on US 41 on the inside lane and slowed to turn left. Dale Black, 32 of Marquette driving a 1988 Ford Ranger was directly behind the Cadillac, observed her brake lights and began to slow down. Black was struck from behind by Jacob Paupore, 17 of Negaunee driving a 2006 Subaru Forester. The rear end collision caused Black to crash into the Cadillac.
Wyatt Soeltner, 17 of Negaunee, was driving a 1998 Ford Ranger behind Paupore. He swerved to avoid the collision but crashed into the rear end of the the Subaru operated by Paupore. Soeltner's vehicle overturned over the top of the Subaru striking Black's vehicle.
Paupore was found to be at fault in this crash for failing to stop in an assured clear distance. Safety belts were used by all occupants. Minor injuries were reported not requiring medical treatment.
Assisting at the scene was Marquette Township Fire/Rescue and the Michigan State Police.
