LYNCHBURG, VA : A Baltimore man died in a single-vehicle crash on Saturday, January, 6th 2018

A Baltimore man died in a single-vehicle crash Saturday on U.S. 29 north of Lovingston.Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller said Cyril B. Jenkins III, 19, of Baltimore, died at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 1 p.m. in the 16000 block of U.S. 29, just north of Davis Creek Lane.

A 2004 Honda Accord driven by Jenkins was traveling south when it ran off the highway into the median, striking an embankment and overturning several times before coming to rest in the median, Geller said.

Geller said Jenkins was wearing a seatbelt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
