Tallassee teen killed in single-vehicle accident in Elmore County

Alabama State Troopers are investigating a single-vehicle accident that claimed the life of Tallassee teen Joseph Ryan Thornton, 18, early this morning.
According to a Trooper report, the crash occurred at approximately 3:20 a.m. on Central Road, five miles northwest of Eclectic.Thornton was killed when his 2008 Toyota Scion veered off the roadway and struck a tree.
