OLIVIA, MN : One dead in head-on crash in central Minnesota on Highway 71 on Friday, 19th October 2018

One person was killed in a head-on crash at 10:35 a.m. Friday on U.S. Highway 71 in Renville County in central Minnesota, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

The identity of the victim and others involved in the accident will be released Saturday morning.

According to preliminary information from the State Patrol, a 2000 Silverado driven by a 50-year-old man from Kandiyohi was southbound on Highway 71. A 2010 Toyota Tundra driven by a 32-year-old man from Renville was northbound on the highway. The Silverado crossed the center line and struck the Tundra head on.
