Willoughby, OH : Mayfield Village man dies in Lorain County crash on Tuesday, 24th April 2018

The Elyria Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash on April 23 in Brighton Township, according to a news release.

At approximately 12:55 p.m. a 57-year-old Mayfield Village man was killed and a 34-year-old Medina woman traveling with her infant child was injured in a collision at the intersection of State Route 18 and Quarry Road.

Marty Miozzi, 57, of Mayfield Village was pronounced dead at the scene. He was driving southbound on Quarry Road in a 2007 GMC pickup truck. According to the release, Miozzi failed to yield from a stop sign and entered the intersection and was struck by a woman driving eastbound on State Route 18 in a Jeep station wagon.
