LAKEVILLE, MA : 1 dead, 3 seriously hurt after crash in Lakeville on Sunday, 16th October 2016

One person is dead after two motorcycles and a car were involved in a crash in Lakeville.

Lakeville Fire said it is still unclear what caused the crash on Bedford Street at Highland Road Sunday.

Police said a 77-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. A 74-year-old female motorcycle passenger was taken by a medical helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital.

The second motorcycle operator, a 53-year-old man, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital. The driver of the car involved, identified as a 56-year-old woman, was taken to Morton Hospital.

All three sustained injuries described as serious.

The accident remains under investigation and is being reconstructed by the Massachusetts State Police.
