Norfolk, NE : A Norfolk man seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, June 3, 2017
A Norfolk man seriously injured in a motorcycle accident early Saturday morning was seriously injured and transported by medical helicopter to a Sioux City hospital.
Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger said 40-year-old Thomas Wolf was southbound on Grandview Drive, just north of Old Highway 8 near the Off Road Ranch east of Norfolk at about 1:30 a.m.
Wolf lost control of his Harley Davidson, entered the east ditch and was ejected.
He was treated at the scene by Norfolk Fire & Rescue and then taken directly to Mercy Medical Hospital by Life Net.
Speed and alcohol are considered to be contributing factors, and Wolf was cited for suspicion of driving while intoxicated — second offense and for no motorcycle license, Unger said.
Wolf was wearing a helmet when the accident occurred.
The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the incident, and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the scene.
