Tampa, FL : Lithia man dies in head-on, three-vehicle collision on Lithia Pinecrest Road on Monday, March 6, 2017
A 22-year-old Lithia man died Monday when his pickup truck collided head-on with another truck on Lithia Pinecrest Road, authorities said.
Aaron Kent was driving east in a 2001 Chevrolet S-10 about 6:18 a.m. when he tried to turn left into a Marathon gas station at 11211 Lithia Pinecrest and pulled into the path of a westbound 2000 Dodge Ram, according to the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office. The two trucks collided head-on.
The Dodge continued into a ditch. Kent's Chevrolet rotated and traveled into eastbound traffic, crashing into a 2009 Honda Civic.
Kent died at the scene. The Dodge driver, 20-year-old Nicholas Andrlik of Lithia, was taken by ambulance to Lakeland Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. The Honda driver, Mark Brady of Lakeland, was taken by a family member to South Florida Baptist Hospital. The Sheriff's Office did not release his condition.
