According to CBS affiliate KHOU, the accident happened at about 12:30 a.m. on the Katy Freeway. The 18-wheeler jackknifed, spilling dozens of cases of beer across the road's lanes. The driver of the 18-wheeler was in serious condition, the station reported. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. KHOU reports that it took about five hours to clean up the mess.
