Elmwood, NE : Two people killed, 1 hurt in collision on Highway 34 in southeastern Nebraska Sunday evening on September 21, 2014

Two people died in a rear end collision on Highway 34 in southeastern Nebraska Sunday evening. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reports 23-year-old Matthew Kirkchhoff of Weeping Water and 22-year-old Emily Widger of Lincoln died at the scene, a mile and a half southeast of Elmwood. According to the sheriff’s office, Kirchoff was driving west on Highway 34 with Widger as a passenger when a car driven by 25-year-old Edward Koch of Quincy, Illinois struck his car from behind.
