MT. MORRIS, MI : 6-year-old girl dies after crash in Mt. Morris on Tuesday, 20th August 2024

A 6-year-old girl has died after she was hit by a car in Mt. Morris on Tuesday.

The crash happened at Saginaw Street in front of Morris Square Apartments at 5:13 p.m. on Aug. 20.

According to the Mt. Morris Police Department, the girl was walking south on the Saginaw Street sidewalk with her trusted mentor when a black SUV - which came to a complete stop at the entrance to the apartment complex - turned north onto Saginaw Street.

The girl walked in front of the SUV before she could be stopped and got trapped under the vehicle, the police department said.
