Fountain, NC : Man injured after crashing car into tree at the intersection of Lynch Street and N.C. 222 in Fountain on Monday, 21st January 2019

A Farmville man suffered evident injuries after he ran off the road to the left and struck a tree, according to a State Highway Patrol report.
The crash took place at 11:37 p.m. on Jan. at the intersection of Lynch Street and N.C. 222 in Fountain
Gregory Jerome Dixon was traveling west on N.C. 222 in his 2004 Infinity passenger car when he attempted to make a right turn onto Lynch Street and ran off the road to the left and struck a tree.
Dixon was traveling 30 mph at the time of impact. The speed limit for that stretch of road is 35 mph.
Dixon was transported to Vidant Medical Center.
