CHICAGO, IL : 2 killed, 1 hurt in crash on Chicago area expressway on Tuesday, 16th April 2024

All lanes of northbound Interstate 57 have reopened several hours after two people were killed and another person was injured in a crash near south suburban Posen.

Illinois State Police said a car was headed north on I-57 when it crashed near 147th Street shortly before 2 a.m.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and another person later died at the hospital. A third person in the car was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
