Gaston, NC : One man died after the car crash Saturday morning on July 26th 2014.

A teenager died in Gaston County after the car he was driving crashed into a set of trees in front of an elementary school and he was thrown from the car.

According to Gaston County Police, officers were called to the front Rhyne Elementary School around 2:36 a.m. Saturday morning.

They say 19-year-old Tony Scott Tyler Lewis was speeding along Davidson Avenue when he ran off the road, hit two trees and the car he was driving flipped.

Lewis was not wearing his seatbelt, according to police.He was rushed to Caromount Regional Medical Center, but died at the hospital.
