A sport utility vehicle plowed into an unoccupied Wesley Chapel house and caught fire Thursday morning, investigators said.

The driver, 55-year-old Ramon Vivas Moncada, of Wesley Chapel, was taken to Florida Hospital Zephyrhills with minor injuries, investigators said.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Moncada was driving a 2002 Mazda SUV west on Spring Oak Trail just before 8 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a right turn at Boulder Run Loop.
