BELLEVUE, IA : One killed another hurt in head-on crash in Jackson County on Sunday, 2nd June 2024

One person is dead, and another is hurt after a head-on crash in Jackson County early Sunday morning.

It happened on Highway 52 North of Bellevue shortly before 3:30 a.m.

The Iowa State Patrol said a Honda SUV was heading North when it crossed the centerline and struck a Chevy van heading the opposite direction head-on.

One person died, and another was injured, but State Troopers did not specify the condition of the injured person.

The Iowa State Patrol has not released the names of those involved and said they are waiting to do so until after they notify family members.
