Beaver County, PA : police officer was injured in a one-vehicle traffic accident in Independence on Wednesday, 11th July 2018

An on-duty Hopewell police officer was injured in a one-vehicle traffic accident Wednesday morning in Independence.

The officer was treated at Heritage Valley Beaver and released.

Few details were available about the accident, which is being investigated by state police in Beaver.

A supervisor with the Beaver County Emergency Services Center said the accident involved a police cruiser, It happened around 8 a.m. on Gringo Independence Road.
