NEOGA, IL : 2 injured in crash on Interstate 57 in Neoga on Friday, 19th July 2019

Two Chicago area motorists were injured as the result of a single vehicle crash Friday on Interstate 57 in Neoga.

Illinois State Police District 12 in Effingham reported that the crash occurred at 3:55 p.m. as Kimesha Clayborn, 28, of East Chicago, Indiana was exiting southbound I-57 and was approaching the stop sign at the end of the exit ramp at U.S. Route 45.Kimesha Clayborn reportedly failed to stop, went through the intersection, and then went off the right side of the entrance ramp to I-57 into the ditch. Her vehicle came to rest facing southbound in the ditch to the right of the entrance ramp.


The driver and her passenger, Destiny Clayborn, 18, of South Holland, were taken via ambulance to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon for treatment of their injuries.
