Butte ,MT :Victims of head-on crash west of Whitehall identified on on Monday afternoon ,July 13th 2015

Jefferson County authorities have identified the two men killed in a head-on crash west of Whitehall.

The Montana Standard in Butte reports (http://bit.ly/1JjnWBQ ) that victims of Monday's crash are 74-year-old Alder rancher Edwin James Guinnane and 66-year-old Robert Dobbins, of Arizona.

Guinnane and his wife, Kaye Guinnane, were headed south in a pickup hauling an empty horse trailer on state Highway 41 on Monday afternoon when their vehicle drifted across the center line and struck an SUV.

Kaye Guinnane and Dobbins' wife Nancy were taken to St. James Healthcare in Butte.

Sheriff Craig Doolittle says alcohol and speed were not factors in the crash and that all parties were wearing seatbelts.
