Westminster, MD : Pennsylvania man injured after a single-vehicle crash on Bachman Valley Road on Wednesday morning, December 2, 2015

A Pennsylvania man was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with life-threatening injuries after a single-vehicle crash on Bachman Valley Road on Wednesday morning, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.

Joshua Robert Brown, 30, of Hanover, Pa., was driving south in a 2015 Nissa Versa when the vehicle struck a shoulder embankment in the 1300 block of Bachman Valley Road and was thrown airborn, according to a news release from Cpl. Jon Light, of the Sheriff's Office. The vehicle came to rest in the southbound travel lane of the road. The collision occurred at about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Emergency medical personal from the Manchester Volunteer Fire Co. took Brown to Shock Trauma, where he remained in critical condition, as of noon, according to Light. No one else was injured in the crash.
