Portland, OR : Deadly motorcycle crash closes I-205 exit to westbound Banfield on Sunday, 13th May 2018

An unidentified motorcycle rider died Sunday evening after crashing his bike on the ramp leading from northbound Interstate 205 to westbound Interstate 84.

The accident took place at about 9:40 p.m. Officers found the motorcycle and the adult male driver in the roadway. The driver died from his injuries in the ambulance enroute to a hospital.

Portland Police Bureau's major crash team investigators are at the site. Police expect the busy exit will be closed for the next three to four hours.

Though the investigation is ongoing, preliminary indications are that it was a one-vehicle crash rather than a collision with another car, police officials said. This is the 16th traffic fatality investigated by the bureau's major crash team this year.
