Boston, MA : Former Plattsburgh resident dies in Boston crash on Saturday, April 30, 2016

A former Plattsburgh resident was killed when the scooter she was driving was struck by an amphibious sightseeing vehicle in downtown Boston on Saturday.

Allison "Ally" Warmuth, 29, was a graduate of Plattsburgh High School who was living and working in the Boston area. Her parents, Martha and Ivan Warmuth, now live in Hawaii.

The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. near public park Boston Common when the vessel, known as a duck boat, collided with the scooter.

Warmuth and her male passenger were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where she died from her injuries, according to Boston Police Officer Rachel McGuire.

The passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries, McGuire added.

About 30 passengers were on the vehicle when the crash happened, McGuire said. There were no other injuries.
