Kane, PA : Three motorcyclists serious injuries in a crash in Lafayette Township on Saturday, August 20, 2016

Three motorcyclists suffered serious injuries in a crash at 12:55 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of U.S. Route 219 and Route 59 in Lafayette Township.

Kane-based state police said a passenger car entered the intersection, causing an accident that involved the car and multiple motorcycles.

Police said three motorcycle riders suffered serious injuries and were transported from the scene for medical treatment, and the driver of the car and the front seat passenger were not injured.
Despite rumors that there were fatalities, no one was killed in the accident, a representative of the police department confirmed.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
