LAS VEGAS, NV : Elderly woman in critical condition after Spring Valley crash on Tuesday, 31st October 2023

An elderly woman was hospitalized with "life-threatening injuries" on Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in the southwest valley.

Metro police determined that the collision occurred on West Tropicana Avenue, east of South Jones Boulevard, around 6:32 p.m. Additionally, evidence at the collision scene, witness statements, and video surveillance indicated a BMW was traveling westbound on Tropicana, east of Jones. At the same time, a 73-year-old woman was crossing Jones Boulevard outside of a marked crosswalk and entered the path of the BMW.

The collision occurred when the front-left of the BMW struck the woman, according to police.
